Sylvan Beach is on the eastern shore of Oneida
Lake. It’s a funky little resort
community with a lot of rental cottages and large RV parks. We stayed at a another combination marina and
RV park, Mariner's Landing Marina, owned by the Oneida Indian Nation Enterprise.
Unfortunately, most of the beach is under
water. The water table for Oneida
Lake is 23 inches above norm. Even the
life guard stations, normally on the waters edge, are 150’ off shore in 2’ of
water.
